Thank you for your support and generosity!
Although UPAVIM supports its daycare and preschool through the sale of its crafts and supports part of the schools budget, the school and other programs rely on generous donations from people who believe in what we are doing and want to help. Ultimately our goal is to work towards being self sustaining, but it is a long uphill battle. We gratefully accept donations to our programs and are extremely appreciative. UPAVIM has received support from numerous churches, individuals, stores, non-profit organizations, and foundations since the cooperative began in 1988.
The UPAVIM Community Development Foundation (UCDF) is a 501(C)(3) organization based in the United States. Aside from advising the women when needed, our mission is mainly to raise funds for the programs UPAVIM offers in Guatemala. All money received from donations goes directly to UPAVIM programs, except a very small amount used for stamps and envelopes to thank donors. Don't want to pay online? Can I earmark my donation for a certain area/project?Yes! On the donation form, you can specify the project you would like to support or can make a general donation which will be used where it is most needed.

Can I hold a fundraiser for UPAVIM?Yes! We are happy to help you plan your fundraiser. Fundraising is a great way to create a larger impact with your donation. What are my payment options?We try to make donating as easy as possible. Donations can be made in many forms, including all major credit cards, cash and check.

How do I cancel my recurring online donation?Log in to your PayPal account. Click Profile near the top of the page. Click My money. Click Update in the My preapproved payments section. Click Cancel, Cancel automatic billing, or Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. *If you do not know your paypal account login or cannot access your paypal account, please contact us for assistance.

Do I have to use Zeffy?Zeffy securely processes credit card donations for UPAVIM Community Development Foundation. Zeffy does not take any fees on our donations, but there is an OPTIONAL tip. This means all of your donation goes directly to where it’s needed most, and less to the credit card processing companies.

What if I don’t have a paypal account?That’s okay! You can use your credit card or bank account to pay through paypal and Paypal basically acts as a middleman. You are not required to create an account for one-time donations. On the donation page, look for the continue link, next to “Use your credit card or bank account (where available.)

Do you accept recurring donations?We gratefully accept recurring donations. Recurring donations are processed through paypal. A paypal account is required in order to give us permission to bill you each month. With our registered non-profit account, paypal takes a much smaller percentage of each payment in fees compared to other commercial vendors. This means more of your donation goes directly to where it’s needed most, and less to the credit card processing companies. Depending on your payment method, your credit card or bank statement will show either “PayPal *UPAVIM CDF ” or “PAYPALINST XFER.” each month.
